Trauma is a shock to your mind and body system. When we experience more than we can bear, we have experienced trauma. We have finally come to recognize the trauma of our returning veterans, survivors of natural disasters, crashes, domestic violence, deaths of loved ones and friends. What is often not addressed is the smaller traumas that can add up over time if not dealt with correctly. These could include events such as a changing job, starting back to school, the holidays, disagreements with loved ones, a break up, or any event that is difficult or unpleasant. Counseling with a licensed professional is an opportunity to process your trauma and come away feeling better. Our therapists provide services through the methods of EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
